Toddler Teachers

Frances Maynard

Lead Toddler Teacher

Maria Montessori said, "The child seeks for independence by means of work; an independence of body and mind. Little he cares about the knowledge of others he wants to acquire knowledge of his own, to have experience of the world, and to perceive it by his own unaided efforts." As a Montessori teacher, this is one of my main responsibilities to provide to the children in my care. I do my best to lay out the foundation that will be build upon by each child. When I see a child doing tasks that create their independence, I get to see the wheels turning in their heads, and the spark that brightens their eyes. These signals, tell me that I have aided them in developing their excitement for learning, which will be further developed in their life long journey of education.

Jessica Wheeler

Toddler Assistant

Toddlers are open and honest individuals who are exploring this world with a freshness and yearning to learn more. A child's spontaneity and energy often keeps me on my toes and provides countless hours of laughter. This in turn allows me to look at the world a little differently and many times in a more positive light.
